Christmas 2023: A Festive Season Full of Good Tidings 🎄

Christmas 2023 was extra special for our family—not just because of how festive the house felt, but because we had a brand-new little one to share it with.

We had so much fun decorating this year. Our tree was straight out of Santa’s workshop, filled with the cutest little elves—actually, two different kinds! It was playful, cheerful, and one of my favorite trees we’ve ever done.

In the dining room, we created a Land of Sweets theme, which carried up the banister with candy garlands and bright colors. It felt whimsical and fun, and made everything feel just a little more magical.

The rest of our home was filled with classic Christmas touches—greens, golds, reds, and cozy details that made everything feel warm and welcoming.

But the most meaningful part of this season? Welcoming Emmett into our family. Having a newborn during Christmastime brought a quiet sweetness to it all. As I looked around our home, the phrase from Scripture kept coming to mind:

“Good tidings of great joy.”

That truly sums up how this Christmas felt for us.
