Emmett's Baptism 3.24.24

Updated: Jun 10

On March 24th, 2024—we celebrated one of the most meaningful days in our family’s story: our son Emmett’s baptism.

The service was held at First Presbyterian Church in the heart of downtown Greenville, a place that holds so much history and reverence. Watching Emmett be baptized in such a beautiful, sacred space—surrounded by family and friends—was truly unforgettable. There’s something so special about a traditional, southern baptism, and this day felt every bit as rich and timeless as we hoped it would.

After the service, we invited everyone back to our home to continue the celebration. We had food catered (because no Southern gathering is complete without plenty of good food!) and drinks flowing as we filled our home with laughter, love, and gratitude.

I had the best time putting together little party favors for our guests—tiny crosses tied up with ribbon and a customized card featuring Emmett’s name and a meaningful piece of scripture on the back. Just a small token to mark such a big day.

It was one of those sweet, sacred moments where time feels like it slows down just enough to let it all soak in. We’re so thankful for our people—for those who came to support us, pray with us, and speak blessings over Emmett’s life.

All in all, it was a beautiful, traditional Southern baptism—full of grace, love, and the presence of God. A day we’ll always remember, and one we’ll tell Emmett all about when he’s older.

With full hearts,

Samantha
